The Seattle Mariners gave Robinson Cano 240 million good reasons, in writing, to leave the New York Yankees on Friday. But there may have been a couple more factors that flew under the radar during the negotiation process aside from his reported desire to get away from manager Joe Girardi.
1. He got a shiny new Mariners cap.
And really, who doesn't love a brand new baseball cap?
2. He can finally grow and sustain a beard.

That didn't take long. That's a shot of Cano attending a winter ball game down in the Dominican Republic just hours after his historic 10-year contract with the Seattle Mariners was finalized on Friday.

He looks happy, doesn't he?
Obviously, it will take a good while to get used to seeing him in something other than a Yankees hat and especially their pinstriped jersey once the season begins. As for the beard, we hope this is just a humble start. He has another 10 weeks or so until spring training to create a look that will truly announce his new found freedom from the Yankees' restrictive facial hair policy. Hopefully he doesn't let us down.
