Where was the friend? The statement says "she and a friend" left the bar and went to his apartment. So...what about the friend? Did she leave the other girl there alone? Was she passed out too? Seems fishy.
These kinds of situations suck. It's super common for victims to not say anything right after because of fear or shame. And athletes, stars & people with money can be incredibly intimidating and get away with alot. On the flip side, there are so many people just looking to make money that there are alot of false accusations. And all the women that lie about it, just make it harder and harder for real victims to get justice.
The bottom line is, in this country it's "innocent until proven guilty". Without a witness or evidence...it's just "he said, she said".

You telling me she couldn't have found a piece of property to build a house on for under $12 mil??? Athletes have to realize they have bullseyes on their backs as easy marks. And this kid is 21, from a rather rough, backwards place. He is the future of a team that has sucked to a level unmatched in futility. What girl that is looking for a financial payday WOULDN'T target him? I am NOT saying he is not guilty or without fault, that remains to be seen, but coming out 3 1/2 months later, when he will be returning to the country in about 30 days - something smells fishy.

Did she black out or pass out? If it was a blackout, maybe she consented and don't remember. Maybe he was blacked out too. If he was, file charges against her. And this from a WORLD CHAMPION CARDINAL FAN!

Women like this make it harder for the good decent women who actually have been through trauma seem credible, sounds like every stupid story I hear college about some sorority girl getting black out hammered and whoring around all night, then sobering up and crying assault, you werent crying assault 2 hours ago when you were making out with half the fraternity

NO lady of any degree of proper upbringing would go home with ANYONE from a bar at 3AM.

Anybody can say anything about anybody! Any woman who goes where she did and "blacks out" has no brains and is a bad source of information, Maybe she has some money problems and is looking for a pay day! Pretty hooky! Should never have been made public!

If true then continue with the charges against him......... if this is a false charge, like many that are in todays world, then the acuser should be given the same sentence that the defendant would have gotten if convicted.....hopefully this would stop people from going after a non deserved payday.

Many people seem to be confusing "blacked out" with "passed out". She wasn't asleep, according to this. She was in a mental state that he couldn't have known about. People when they're black out drunk don't seem any different from any other very drunk people. Castro was also - very drunk. For all anyone knows the girl was black out drunk when she met Castro and decided to leave with him in the first place, so that when she "woke up" with him on top of her, she was shocked. But that doesn't mean he did anything wrong.

of course she may not have remember the advances she made on him to make him think it was OK to reciprocate? Oh yeah wait... she doesn't remember because she had been drinking and we all know she isnt responsible because she is a helpless female and only men are aware of everything thats going on!

Having sex with someone who is unconscious is rape. There's no way around it.

WOMEN PLEASE READ- If you were raped last night CALL THE POLICE, then ask to be taken to the hospital so they can use a rape kit to obtain all the evidence needed. Do not wait a month and then call a lawyer cause then you are going to look like a greedy b#$*@.
