Well, you knew it was only a matter of time before somebody had a little fun with David Ortiz's meltdown Saturday night in Baltimore. And perhaps we shouldn't be surprised it was the team who recently passed the Boston Red Sox in the American League East standings, the Tampa Bay Rays — or at least their Twitter page — that stepped to the forefront.
WANTED: Steel alloy telephone with Kevlar cord. Will spare no expense. Must install by Sept. 10.

Well played, Tampa. A nice, clean job. Not too stiff, but not-so-subtle either.
Hey, when you're on a roll, you're on a roll. And when you're on a roll, you're feeling pretty good and having a lot of fun in the process. Obviously the Rays are in that position right now, and perhaps their success is even getting under the skin of the Red Sox.
Then again, it isn't. Here are teammates Ryan Dempster and Jonny Gomes acting loose and having their own fun at Ortiz's expense right at the scene of the crime.

This is just the beginning. Something tells me we're going to be seeing David Ortiz phone bashing parodies for a long, long time, and in many different, hilarious forms. I should say don't try this at home, but if you do, make sure to stay clear of the shrapnel.
