Playoff anthem! G Fella's 'Untouchable' Salute to the Yankees

After Jay-Z's "Empire State of Mind" became the soundtrack for the 2009 title run, you knew that artists were going to have a tough time topping a ditty for the New York Yankees.

And judging from the half-hearted crop so far, I was right. (A Monkees parody, really?)

But while I expect to hear a few more offerings if the Yankees reach the World Series, the leader in the clubhouse seems to be a fella named G Fella. He doesn't topple the King of New York with his tribute to this year's Yanks, of course, but it's a solid enough tune to extend the time between the 11,678th and 11,679th times you'll hear "Empire" this weekend.

Download the track at G Fella's site.
