Looking to capitalize on our nation's obsession with all things bacon, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, have released a new cap that might make your mouth water.
The IronPigs on Monday unveiled new uniforms for 2014, one of which just says "Pigs" across the chest and has a corresponding cap with a slice of bacon across it. You might think is something out of a goofy Will Ferrell movie, but no, that's minor league baseball for you.
The IronPigs will wear the bacon caps every Saturday night throughout the season. We're anticipating your next question — yes, they're already for sale. The bacon caps will run you $28 at the team's online store. Try not to eat them, OK?
It a shame that these bacon caps are coming out a year after Delmon Young left the Phillies organization. Delmon Young in a bacon cap would break Twitter.
