MLB Network’s ‘Field of Dreams’-inspired postseason video is a thing of beauty

Thursday's Game 2 of the NLDS is the first postseason game broadcast on MLB Network, and before the first pitch was even throw between the St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates, MLB Network's coverage had already impressed.

Check out the "Field of Dreams"-inspired postseason video that features stars such as Miguel Cabrera, Yasiel Puig and Dustin Pedroia. It's narrated by Ray Liotta, who played Shoeless Joe Jackson in the 1989 baseball classic.

As much as I like Pedro Martinez's jheri curl and Keith Olbermann's Olbermanness, I'm giving the MLB Network the nod over TBS, which is broadcasting most of the LDS series games. It's nice to hear Bob Costas calling Friday's game and this video was great. MLB will broadcast another game on Monday, though the schedule has not yet been announced.

The postseason is upon us. Spend it with The Stew.
