Hey, ma'am, clear the shot please. Trying to see if New York Mets ace Matt Harvey still has to wear that darned brace to protect his right elbow after undergoing Tommy John surgery. As of Oct. 28, when he was photographed at Madison Square Garden with his special lady friend — supermodel Anne V — Harvey still had on a balky brace. But he also told the New York Daily News that doctors said his recovery from UCL replacement surgery was going better than expected and is "ahead of schedule."
"Yстрашающий!" (That's Russian for "awesome!")
So it's off to Moscow he goes with Anne Vyalitsyna, a green-eyed blonde (those are the best kind!) who was born in Gorky, USSR but is known today for her work in Sports Illustrated. Their matching winter outfits are splendid, even if the diner operator in "Back To The Future" would needle them for just having "jumped ship."
Methinks that Harvey, strategically positioning his recovering arm behind the beautiful woman — while wearing a jacket vest because his brace would not fit over a coat's sleeve — is still braced up in the photo. That's got to be a b — going through customs. But it probably makes Mets fans happy that he's protecting himself while touring a foreign country. Better safe than извините.
Be careful while on holiday, Harvey. You know what they say about life over there: In Soviet Union, Tommy John surgery have YOU!
