Mariano Rivera’s Yankee Stadium farewell gives us the coolest pitching change ever

Mariano Rivera trotted out to the pitcher's mound at Yankee Stadium for the final time on Thursday night. In a farewell season that's been so overflowing with adulation for baseball's all-times saves leader, what else could the New York Yankees possibly do?

How about bring Mo to tears?

In one heck of a tactical move by Yankees manager Joe Girardi, he brought Rivera into the game one last time in the eighth inning (watch that below), let him retire four batters, then took him out with two outs in the ninth inning. All so Rivera could get one last ovation from Yankee fans.

But there was a twist: Girardi sent out a couple of other guys to make the change.

Just watch the video above. And don't blame us if, like Mo, you tear up a bit.
