It's official: Jim Edmonds is now a wolf in Cubs clothing. He just took his first at-bat at Wrigley Field — to what sounded like mostly cheers — and rapped a single to right off former Padre teammate Greg Maddux.

Those of us in Chicago have done our fair share of bellyaching over the signing of the former Cardinal, but it's not like a former rival hasn't joined us in town before. However, as you'll see below, the additions have paid off a wide range of dividends, so Edmonds might want to be a little more Rodman and a lot less Starks ...
