Love him or hate him, it's hard to deny that it's downright exciting watching Yasiel Puig play baseball. He's had some rough games already in 2014, with ample controversy following. And Tuesday night, in the Los Angeles Dodgers win over the San Diego Padres, Puig started off things with with a mammoth two-run homer that put his team ahead two batters into the game.

It was a thing of beauty, and you've got to admit that, even if you're one of those people who tsk-tsk Puig not for hitting the cut-off man every now and then.

We're only a few days into the season, so there will still be many highs and lows for Puig, but hey, a pretty home run is a pretty home run.

Here's a fun reminder, baseball fans, since the new season is upon us. You can use the Yahoo Sports app to make fun "Loops" like this, with your own text and effects. So love or hate Puig, that's a creative way to express yourself.
