Game of the Day: Yankees 3, Orioles 2
Lt. Uehara, no!: Just two outs from the O's first three-game sweep in the Bronx since 1986, Koji Uehara(notes) did a bad thing and Nick Swisher(notes) went oppo for a game-ending two-run homer. Uehara had been 7 for 7 in save opportunities.
Double take: Awesomely, strangely and awesomely again, the walk-off moment came a year to the day that Swisher ended another ballgame with a homer. Swisher did the same thing against Dan Wheeler(notes) and the Rays on Sept. 8, 2009
"I guess it's my day," said Swisher, who has 26 homers on the season.
Gotta give it to him.
Ohs: The progress the Orioles have made under new major domo Buck Showalter is kind of freaky. They're 21-14. Coulda been 22-13.
"I'm proud of our guys," Showalter said. "This one stings a bit right now, but you can’t think of what could've been."

Angels 4, Indians 3 (16 inn.): Manny Acta never will admit this, but I'll go to my grave swearing he would have used Andy Marte(notes) to close if the Indians had taken the lead in extra innings. The guy throws 89 mph with movement.
Astros 4, Cubs 0: Can the 'Stros catch the Cardinals?
Padres 4, Dodgers 0: It's hard to say "Cory Luebke" without sounding like you have a cold.
D-backs 3, Giants 1: Something about a big series in San Diego starting today.
Braves 9, Pirates 3: The Braves were one more loss to the Pirates from conceding to the Phillies.
Rangers 8, Blue Jays 1: Rangers win? They almost seemed to forget how, there, for a second.
Athletics 4, Mariners 3: The A's are 50-24 when stealing a base, with Billy Beane biting his lip on every attempt.
