Gather 'round, because it's time to recap the most recent diamond doings. Roll Call starts in the Bronx, where Nicky "Two Times" Swisher is going get the papers, get the papers.

Game of the Day: Yankees 3, Orioles 2

Lt. Uehara, no!: Just two outs from the O's first three-game sweep in the Bronx since 1986, Koji Uehara(notes) did a bad thing and Nick Swisher(notes) went oppo for a game-ending two-run homer. Uehara had been 7 for 7 in save opportunities.

Watch Swisher swing

Double take: Awesomely, strangely and awesomely again, the walk-off moment came a year to the day that Swisher ended another ballgame with a homer. Swisher did the same thing against Dan Wheeler(notes) and the Rays on Sept. 8, 2009

"I guess it's my day," said Swisher, who has 26 homers on the season.

Gotta give it to him.

Headway: Jorge Posada(notes) received good medical news: No concussion.

Ohs: The progress the Orioles have made under new major domo Buck Showalter is kind of freaky. They're 21-14. Coulda been 22-13.

"I'm proud of our guys," Showalter said. "This one stings a bit right now, but you can’t think of what could've been."

They Also Played...

Angels 4, Indians 3 (16 inn.): Manny Acta never will admit this, but I'll go to my grave swearing he would have used Andy Marte(notes) to close if the Indians had taken the lead in extra innings. The guy throws 89 mph with movement.

Brewers 8, Cardinals 1: Jeff Suppan(notes) gave up the last run, for old time's sake.

Astros 4, Cubs 0: Can the 'Stros catch the Cardinals?

Rockies 9, Reds 2: Just tell Aaron Cook(notes) "good luck" next time. He takes "break a leg" way too literally.

Padres 4, Dodgers 0: It's hard to say "Cory Luebke" without sounding like you have a cold.

D-backs 3, Giants 1: Something about a big series in San Diego starting today.

Mets 3, Nationals 2: R.A. Dickey(notes) won his 10th game, which means we all won our 10th game, because R.A. Dickey stands for all of America.

Phillies 10, Marlins 6: It's like the Phillies found a secret stash of runs for Cole Hamels(notes).

Braves 9, Pirates 3: The Braves were one more loss to the Pirates from conceding to the Phillies.

Tigers 5, White Sox 1: Collecting four hits and making two errors (looking at you, Mark Teahen(notes)) is acceptable in April, but less so in September.

Twins 4, Royals 3: Zack Greinke(notes) pitches down to the level of his teammates when he goes up against the Twins.

Rangers 8, Blue Jays 1: Rangers win? They almost seemed to forget how, there, for a second.

Red Sox 11, Rays 5: "Some days you burn, some days you get burned," Matt Garza(notes) said, calling on his inner pyromaniac.

Athletics 4, Mariners 3: The A's are 50-24 when stealing a base, with Billy Beane biting his lip on every attempt.
