Jose Canseco pulled over in Nevada with goats in his car

In what may go down as the most Jose Canseco thing ever, the former Oakland A’s slugger and his girlfriend Leila Knight were pulled over by the Nevada State Highway Patrol on Wednesday evening while transporting a pair of fainting goats to their home in Las Vegas.

Let that sink in for a minute.

And now observe the scene as tweeted by Canseco to his faithful social media followers.

Thankfully, it turns out Canseco and Knight had good reason to be traveling with the goats: They actually own them. As the Huffington Post reports, the couple wanted to add to their array of pets that also include four dogs and tortoises, so they sought out goat owners on the Internet and ended up acquiring them earlier in the week.

Of course, that doesn't make the scenario any less bizarre, but at least it makes sense.

Based on Canseco's follow-up tweets, it would appear he got away without being ticketed for his undisclosed violation. So perhaps these goats are lucky, too?

That's probably a stretch. But hey, at least the family looks happy.
