Curt Schilling has a great suggestion when it comes to honoring Mariano Rivera

Curt Schilling may be a divisive personality, but here's something of his that we can possible all agree on: The former Boston Red Sox pitcher thinks the Rolaids relief award should be named after Mariano Rivera, presumably after the New York Yankees closer retires at the end of this season.

And hey, why not? If a former rival like Schilling can make the suggestion, why would anyone else have a problem with it? Rivera has won the award five times, which ties him with the late Kansas City closer Dan Quisenberry for the all-time lead. He's universally recognized as the greatest closer in the history of baseball and it's going to be a long time before any other reliever even approaches his career total of 638 saves (and counting).

Then again, maybe that Rolaids sponsorship is just too lucrative for Major League Baseball to give up. Even if baseball has been spelling relief R-I-V-E-R-A for quite awhile now.
