Down 6-2 with two outs in the ninth, Geovany Soto and the Cubs just did what they do best — pull off a 7-6 come-from-behind 12-inning victory over the Brewers in front of the home field fans at Wrigley Field. Soto hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game and allow the Brewers to watch their playoff hopes increasingly rely on the Mets' charity. (A win in Washington tonight would give New York a 1.5-game lead over Milwaukee. After tonight, the Mets will have 10 to play, while only nine remain for the Crew.)
At any rate, since it's been awhile since we've C-a-Ced, here's a picture from the first game of the Brewers-Cubs series. That's Aramis Ramirez at the plate and while the camera is playing a trick on all of us, it certainly looks like he's going to get seamed between the eyes with a fastball.
So have at it, amateur Internet copy editors of the world. How should this caption read?
