World famous muppet Cookie Monster attended the San Francisco Giants game at AT&T Park on Monday night — Tim Lincecum was pitching, c'mon! — and Amy Gutierrez of CSN Bay Area wanted to know what baseball was like on "Sesame Street." Although he said he was "looking for the cookie vendor," C.M. was kind enough to answer her questions.
Here are some of the highlights:
• Grover is the best player on the Street. Though "a bit wiry," he's "pretty athletic" and is a pitcher.
• Cookie Monster is the catcher and he doesn't use a mitt.
"Me eat ball. Ball delicious!"
• C.M. would change some of the lyrics of "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" to something along the lines of "... Buy me some peaunts and... COO-KIE!"
The Giants beat the Braves 4-2 behind Lincecum and his 11 strikeouts. He's 1-0 when Cookie Monster shows up this season.
