No one would ever accuse New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia of being a small dude. He's 6-foot-7 and was most recently listed at 290 pounds. Though, if you glance at some pictures of Sabathia that have been circulating recently, you'll notice he's looking a lot smaller.

Above is a pic he shared over the weekend while attending a friend's wedding with his wife Amber. Compare that to Sabathia on the mound last season. Before we start to say Sabathia is challenging Pablo Sandoval of the San Francisco Giants for baseball's "Biggest Loser," you have to listen to CC's side. He told Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal that he hasn't lost as much weight as it might look like. From Rosenthal:

One friend of Sabathia’s estimated that he has lost 40 pounds, but CC texted me Monday morning and said that he and Amber were laughing at the notion that he trimmed way down.

“I’m actually the same weight as I was last year, just a little more toned and a lot more strong,” said Sabathia, who has been working with his trainer, T.J. Lopez. “This is the first offseason I was able to weight-train and get stronger and not worry about weight loss.

“I ended the season on the DL (with a strained left hamstring) so I missed the last two weeks, took a week off and started working out in mid-October so I feel great and ready to go. I’ve been throwing all off-season like I used to do before the elbow surgery (in Oct. 2012) so my arm feels great.”

In addition to looking good, life seems like it's been fun for Sabathia lately. He just joined up with Jay Z's Roc Nation sports agency and cameo'd on Jimmy Fallon's late-night show showing his "acting" chops alongside teammate Mark Teixeira. And, as we also learned from Sabathia's Instagram account, he got to hang out with Vinny Chase and the "Entourage" crew.
