It's twice the Bryce!

Bryce Harper, the 21-year-old Washington Nationals outfielder, returns from the disabled list Monday after being sidelined since April 25 with a torn ligament in his thumb. He had been recently pegged for a July 1 return date. Manager Matt Williams called that the best-case scenario. Turns out this is the better best-case scenario.

Harper is back a day early, and the timing is great, because Monday also happens to be Bryce Harper bobblehead night at Nationals Park. Take note of that hairdo on the bobblehead. Stylin' there, Bobble Bryce.

Of course, Harper wasn't trying to return early for just his bobblehead day. He's plenty eager to get on the field and help the Nats, who are a half-game behind the Atlanta Braves for first place in the NL East. His most recent minor-league game proved that Harper's ready too. He hit three homers Saturday for the Double-A Harrisburg Senators.

Harper's return means the Nats have some lineup shuffling to do. They'd been using Ryan Zimmerman in left field lately, but he'll return to his usual position, third base. Anthony Rendon moves from third back to second.

It kind of feels like opening day again for the Nats, who have their starting lineup back for the first time since their first game of the season.
