We've already had thrilling week of baseball with two wild-card games and a tiebreaker game. But Thursday, things in the MLB postseason get even more serious. Both NLDS series begin. Then on Friday, both ALDS series begin.
So it's time for your Big League Stew friends to put on our prognostication caps and predict what course the rest of the 2013 MLB postseason will take. Our panel includes Yahoo Sports baseball columnist Jeff Passan and Yahoo Sports blog overlord (and BLS forefather) Kevin Kaduk. The five of us each picked a different World Series winner, so that shows you these next few weeks can go any number of ways.
(Note: the number next to each logo is how many games we think the series will last.)
If you don't recognize the MVP faces, they are, from left: Josh Donaldson, Evan Longoria, Clayton Kershaw, David Ortiz and Yadier Molina.
Here's another table of predictions — more storyline-based and prop-bet-ish.
Again, if you don't recognize the faces:
Slumpers: Miguel Cabrera, Justin Upton, Carlos Beltran, Cabrera, Cabrera
Won't disappoint: Yasiel Puig, Clayton Kershaw, Hanley Ramirez, Dustin Pedroia, Puig
Dominant pitcher: Clayton Kershaw (1-4) and Adam Wainwright
Ejected: Nick Punto, David Ortiz, Julio Teheran, Chris Johnson, A.J. Burnett
Add your own predictions in the comments, or just tell us how wrong we are. You first, Braves fans.
