Carlos Beltran slipped on the prestigious New York Yankees pinstripes for the first time Friday, as he was introduced to the New York media. His three-year, $45 million deal with the Yankees is officially official and Beltran is now a member of the team he said he grew up rooting for.

The Yankees — in the most squealy cute moment of Friday's presser — presented Beltran's daughters, Kiera and Ivana, with little Yankees jackets. We assume that the A-Rod saga has given general manager Brian Cashman plenty of experience dealing with Yankee children.

Beltran has worn a number of uniforms through his 16-year career, so it's not particularly striking to see him in new threads. Although, he was fully drinking the Yankees Kool-Aid, saying things like: "As a player and as a fan, I've looked up to this organization. They always do what it takes to win a championship."

The Yankees, meanwhile, were thinking about the World Series again. Manager Joe Girardi told the press he was really looking forward to playing in October with Beltran.

That brings to mind Beltran's ex-teammate, St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright, who also foretold of Beltran going to the World Series with the Yankees. Just in a much stranger way.

Do you remember during this past World Series when Wainwright shared a dream he had about Beltran? He dreamt the Cardinals didn't make it to the series in 2013, so Beltran left St. Louis and signed with the Yankees and went to the World Series in pinstripes.

Adam Wainwright, if you're reading and looking at these pictures, this isn't a dream. This is real life.
