But Pujols' visit to the Ed Sullivan Theater was a bit different from the usual camera-toting fan as he appeared as a guest with Dave and displayed a smiling side we don't often see when he's digging down in the batter's box. He later took some batting practice with the weak-armed Denis Leary (above), who was decked out in the gear of his beloved Boston Red Sox.
(The "Rescue Me" star told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that he had planned to wear a 2004 World Series championship shirt, but decided against it when he found out Pujols would be wielding a bat.)
At any rate, you can watch Pujols' entire interview here. It's somewhat difficult to understand Pujols at times, but he sure looks comfortable enough in the Big Apple spotlight. Is it too early for New York Mets fans to start picturing him as one of their own?
