No. 1 star: Alex Pawelczyk , Shawinigan Cataractes (QMJHL)

Pawelczyk, the only Quebec League player from Richmond, Va., had his first multi-goal game as the Cataractes crushed the Saint John Sea Dogs 7-1.

Shawinigan scored six special teams goals, including a short-handed icebreaker from Pawelczyk (2G-1A, +3) that opened the scoring 2:53 into the game. The 6-foot-6 left wing collected a power-play assist 4:07 into the second period. That work led to Pawelczyk earning some more PP time and the 19-year-old struck on a setup from Dylan Labb é.

Overage Christophe Lalonde (2G-2A, +1) also potted a pair for Shawinigan, which was a mind-bending 5-for-8 on the power play. Sophomore Anthony Beauvillier chipped in his 34th of the season.

No. 2 star: Ken Appleby, Oshawa Generals (OHL)
