Wide receiver pulls down incredible one-handed TD catch
Milford (Conn.) Jonathan Law High's football team only scored one touchdown in its loss to New Haven (Conn.) Hillhouse High. It was a good one.
The catch you see above was pulled in by wide receiver Connor Falaguerra, who somehow brought in a well-lofted 9-yard pass from Tim Maher in the back of the end zone, stretching beyond a Hillhouse defender and wrangling a one-handed pass as if his glove was covered in 1990s-era stickem.
The good news for the Lawmen (and is there a better mascot name out there than the Jonathan Law Lawmen? That's fantastic) is that Falguerra's touchdown counted. The bad news is that so did all the touchdowns scored by Hillhouse in the 46-7 victory by the Academics.
All of which proves once and for all that academics will always win out against law and order … though sometimes the Lawmen have better weapons.
