With 84 feet of hardwood and two seconds standing between him and victory, Vancouver (Wash.) Evergreen High boys' basketball star Robert Franks somehow put playoff elimination on hold.
The 6-foot-7 junior tracked down a heckuva full-court pass that touched two Camas (Wash.) players' fingertips and whirled a no-look over-the-shoulder shot threw the twine to tie a district playoff elimation game, 63-63. His Plainsmen went on to win in overtime, 74-68 (h/t USA TODAY).
The Evergreen fans had the appropriate reaction to Franks' miracle shot: utter insanity.
