Virginia school's student section pulls off epic version of WWE champ Daniel Bryan's 'Yes!' chant

WWE champion Daniel Bryan recognizes a quality gimmick when he sees one.

Ironically, the running gimmick for Bryan -- a member of WWE's Team Hell No -- has become a "Yes!" chant that echoes throughout the crowd, culminating in a crescendo that borderlines on hysteria.

Well, an equally ostentatious organization, Fairfax (Va.) Paul VI Catholic High's The VI Man, the self-described "best student section in the nation," answered a challenge from D.C. Sports Fan reporter Brian Kapur (h/t USA TODAY). Led by Paul VI boys' basketball coach Glenn Farello, the students pulled off an impressive "Yes!" chant prior to the Panthers' game against rival Arlington (Va.) Bishop O'Connell.

While Paul VI ultimately lost to O'Connell, 73-66, Bryan lifted their spirits by tweeting the video to his 1.3 million fans with a simple message befitting the bearded lover of one-word statements: "Woah."

Washington Post prep guru Brandon Parker aptly dubbed Paul VI's gym "the high school Cameron Indoor Stadium," which would make The VI Man the Crazies of prep sports. Sounds about right. Except Spartans may be a better analogy. Michigan State's starting right guard Travis Jackson led MSU fans in equally impressive "Yes!" chants at football and basketball games this year.
