Two cops protect Tony Romo as he watches an average Texas prep basketball game

Nothing like a high school basketball game between a couple .500 teams on a Tuesday night in suburban Texas. Such is the life of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

A few Twitter users captured photos of Romo at a prep hoops game between Texas rivals Anna High and Melissa High, asking the relevant questions (h/t Busted Coverage): "Why is Tony Romo at an Anna HS bball game?" and "Why Tony Romo at our school again?"

Again? Yes, again. Romo showed up to Anna High with wife Candice last year, too, but this time around it was boys' night. Smart move by Candice, by the way, since Anna scored all of 30 points in a 15-point loss. As for this pertinent questions -- Why in the hell is Tony Romo at your average prep basketball game -- Anna's coach Nick Sekeres is Romo's best friend from their hometown of Burlington, Wis.

Back in Romo's bachelor days (which were impressive), Romo and Sekeres shared an apartment in Dallas, and Sekeres served as co-best man of Romo's 2011 wedding.

You'll have to excuse the fan photos, too, since Romo reportedly had a two-cop detail protecting him from those notoriously rabid Anna boys' basketball fans.
