Allen finds itself atop the Prep Rally PCS thanks to the strength of its Massey ranking — Allen Eagle Touchdown …

It's that time of the week again. You know, when Prep Rally goes through the top-25 rankings of the three most notable national polls — the RivalsHigh 100, MaxPreps XCellent 25 and USA Today Super 25 — as well as the longest running computer ranking system, the Massey Ratings, and combine them all to come up with an amalgamated score? The goal is to provide the most balanced view of precisely who the nation's top teams are.

There's big news this week, with Washington High from Miami finally knocked off its perch. How could that happen when all three polls still rank the Tornadoes as the nation's top team? Blame the computers. Massey ranks Washington as just the 11th best team in the country. In theory this gap may shift as the playoffs roll on, but only time will tell.

Here’s how the national contenders stack up this week, complete with the Allen Eagles now sitting at number 1.
