Revenge is a dish best served cold, and what's more frigid than bare shoulders pinned to a wrestling mat.
When a member of the Troutdale (Ore.) Reynolds High coaching staff screamed to Pedro Campos, "put this kid in a cradle," all Portland (Ore.) David Douglas High senior Thomas Ayala could do was smile.
The 182-pound Ayala immediately slipped out of his inferior posiiton and proceeded to pin Campos within 20 seconds -- using the same move the opposing coach shouted, according to The Oregonian.
"I put him in a cradle right there," said Ayala, one of 12 David Douglas victors in 14 matches against Reynolds on Wednesday. "I felt like it disrespected -- I felt like they were trying to call me out."
Maybe that Reynolds coach should think about whispering his instructions next time.
