Awesome one-armed student sinks halftime halfcourt shot, donates winnings to cancer

High school students are beginning to make playing basketball with one arm look easy. It's not, and they should be commended for not letting a congenital disability get in the way of being a baller.

First, Georgia's Zach Hodskins committed to the University of Florida as a preferred walk-on this past fall.

On Thursday, Michigan's Geno Policicchio pulled off an astounding behind-the-back basket.

Now, St. Louis (Mo.) University High sophomore Max Bredenkoetter joins the list of impressive one-armed basketball moments this season (h/t MaxPreps). During halftime of a "Paint it Pink" Coaches vs. Cancer game against crosstown rival Christian Brothers College High, Bredenkoetter, whose right arm ends just below the elbow, became one of two students to sink a halfcourt shot with a $100 prize on the line.

In the video obtained by MaxPreps, Bredenkoetter and SLUH athletic director Dick Wehner -- dressed in a fantastically appropriate pink suit -- exchange an awesome high-five after the shot rattled home.

Even better, Bredenkoetter and SLUH senior Josh Keil, who also connected on a halftime halfcourt attempt, immediately donated their winnings to cancer research, according to Wehner's Twitter account.
