Missouri WR’s end zone grab is a contender for catch of the year

Move over, J.J. Worton. You have company.

Playing in a state quarterfinal matchup against Jackson (Mo.) High, Webster Groves High  wide receiver Cameron Hilton lined up for a red zone play and then extended for the defensive back-shaming grab you see in the video above. The ball in the air was thrown too far for most wide receivers, but not for Hilton.

The star junior made the catch, helping speed Webster Groves to a narrow 42-39 win.

After the win, Hilton was quick to focus on the team’s result and not his extraordinary play.

"One game away from state, nothing feels better than that," Hilton told the Southeast Missourian. "I can't do it without my quarterback — Rob [Thompson], he's a great player. DJ’s [Johnson] a great player. Our team just works together well."

Hilton can focus on the win as much as he wants. We won’t be forgetting that catch any time soon.
