InterTubing: A prep dunking smörgåsbord

There are weeks when there are so many impressive dunks out there, it's hard to reject the impulses to morph into an online, location-agnostic dunk contest, Transformers style. We're not about to do that (though we have thought about it), but we are going to highlight some of the very best from the past week, along with a basketball game that was awfully eventful at the end of quarters and one of the most efficient soccer goals you'll ever see.

• Jalen Robinson, Northland (Ohio) vs. Linden (Ohio) McKinley: Overshadowed by teammate and now-Ohio State star Jared Sullinger for the past couple of years, Jalen Robinson has emerged as one of the nation's most intriguing junior prospects, in part because of his incredible athleticism, which he shows off on this rebound dunk where he was left unmarked to come down the lane.

• Dominique Williams, Haines City (Fla.): We're not sure precisely in which Haines City game this thunder slam came, but it certainly lived up to Williams All-State reputation in the Sunshine State, where the senior hopes to lead Haines City on a deep playoff run.

• Ryan Boatright, East Aurora (Ill.) vs. Nequa Valley (Ill.): UConn-bound senior Ryan Boatright always gets plenty of attention, but he'll have a hard time upstaging his best dunk of the early season, in a narrow, 66-64 victory over Nequa Valley. Boatright stole an attempted interior pass, then sprinted down the court for a breakaway slam when he pulled a full windmill out of his bag. Needless to say, you don't see that every day.

• Matt Christiansen, Bishop McGuinness (Okla.) vs. Northwest Classen (Okla.): Bishop McGuinness won the 51st annual McGuinness Classic in a 77-61 rout of Northwest Classen, a game in which Christiansen stole the show, particularly with this powerful slam from the eventual tournament MVP.

• Piper (Kan.) vs. Turner (Kan.): Sure, occasional games feature dramatic shots as the clock winds down on a quarter (or a half), but how many have more than one? A matchup in Kansas last week featured three, though two were more notable, with Piper winning the game on a late three after Turner connected on a three at the end of the first quarter, which you can see in the second clip below.

• Chris Drachkovitch, Notre Dame (Calif.) vs. Harvard-Westlake (Calif.): It didn't take Notre Dame very long to get on the board against rival Harvard-Westlake, with the Knights strining together five quick passes before a final, perfect cross from Nico Chavando to Drachkovitch for the game's opening goal. Well worked, Notre Dame, well worked indeed.

• Ryo Miyaichi, Chukyo Dai (Japan) vs. Kumiyama (Japan): Miyaichi is headed to Arsenal of the English Premier League in one of the more interesting English signings of recent years, but before he departed from his prep soccer career in Japan he left some memories with this goal, in which he plays a near-perfect give-and-go with a teammate before slotting home.
