High School Haiku: Snakes have the best fields. Or is it gems?

What's a Diamondback? The question might seem more apt for Wikipedia than a high school sports blog, but when a particularly notable high school sports team happens to use the Diamondback as a mascot, that changes things.

In this case, it's not so much the team that is of interest as it is the field, as Prep Rally delved into on Wednesday. It's hard to top this design on a football field, and seems unlikely anyone will soon (athletic departments, start your sketching now).

So, what is a Diamondback? It's a valid question, even if it does little to dim the sparkle on the Diamond Ranch Academy's spiffy field. Perhaps this haiku can put the question in more proper perspective.

A snake? Sure. A gem? Perhaps.
It's got one great field.
