Female college football fans fawning over four-star recruit Darius Fullwood
Olney (Md.) Our Lady of Good Counsel High four-star defensive lineman recruit Darius Fullwood has been receiving some rather naughty counsel from lady college football fans hoping he'll attend their school.
The 6-foot-4, 229-pound Fullwood, ranked No. 20 at his position nationally, told Washington Post prep reporter Brandon Parker just how wild the world of college football recruiting can get on social media.

Hmmm that’s a tough one. I don’t know. Most of them just say something along the lines of they want me to come to their favorite school. I get that a lot. A few times I’ve had girls ask me what percent chance is it that I come to their school. I might say like 70 or 80 percent and they’ll say something like, "Well, I can help you with that other 20 percent,” whatever that means. I don’t get caught up in all the social media stuff, though.
You might think a defensive end recruit with plenty of sacks under his belt named Darius Fullwood would be able to figure out "whatever that means," but perhaps he's as naive as his answer suggests. After all, he's only 17 years old, so any propositions from college-aged females would be unsavory. For the record, he's being recruited by the who's who of DI programs, including Alabama, Florida St. and Ohio St.
But, hey, at least these ladies haven't targeted Zadock Dinkelmann, the 14-year-old nephew of Ty and Koy Detmer who recently committed to LSU as an eighth-grade quarterback. (Again, must be the name.) As far as we know, college coaches are the only ones drooling over Dinkelmann at this point.
“Certainly we don’t know all the great players in the country. But those young players that are exceptional — when you come across them, you just know it," LSU coach Les Miles told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in a veiled reference to Dinkelmann. "We recognize the family, and we recognize a characteristic that they will do well academically and that they have a size and speed component that will only improve. We know they are doing well off the field. Those kind of guys, sometimes they can be young players. We’ve not shied away from them. When we can identify them, we’ve not shied away from offering them.”
Reasons No. 8,395 and 8,396 why there's never a dull moment in the world of college football recruiting. These still don't top the coach who promised Da'Shawn Hand he'd get to meet Michael Jackson, though.
