Alabama picks up two commitments during All-America game

Alabama already had the highest number of recruits playing in the Under Armour All-America game as of Friday morning. Midway through the second quarter, the Crimson Tide added yet another as Da'ron Payne announced his commitment.

In the fourth quarter, the number grew to 14 with cornerback Kendall Sheffield following suit.

Sheffield offered the news via the inside of his white gloves. Holding his hands together to form a letter "A," there was also a crimson letter "A" on the inside of each glove.

Earlier in the game, Tim Settle said he's verbally commited to Virginia Tech, while Ronald Jones II gave his word to USC.

At the half, wide receiver Tyron Johnson became the fourth player to verbally commit during the game, announcing that he'll spend the next four years at LSU.

Johnson revealed his decision by pulling a jersey out of a bag. Asked where he got the jersey, he laughed and said "e-Bay."

Rounding out the days commitments is Anthony Wheeler, who will play for the University of Texas.
