California prep pitcher makes spectacular behind-the-back play to save a run

It wasn't a baseball game to remember for Granite Bay (Calif.) High, but things could have been even worse for the Grizzlies in the second annual Boras Classic if not for this memorable snag.

Granite Bay junior right-hander Kevin Baranowski's behind-the-back prayer of a pickup on a ground ball up the middle prevented another run from scoring in an 11-1 loss to Concord De La Salle.

As the video's impromptu play-by-play announcer said, "Nice catch." Unfortunately, he couldn't turn into a "double out, dude," which is presumably a way better name for a double play.

Baseball super-agent Scott Boras started the tournament for California's top prep teams last year, so maybe he can help Baranowski turn this fortunate play into a profit one day.
