  • A ridiculous trick shot so amazing it's gotta be a fake

Is this fake?  It sure seems like another Jimmy Kimmel hoax. But maybe that's because it's so amazing.

As USA Today's Mike Foss notes, the shadow on this trick shot at least offers the possibility that it's real, and the language on Franky Bean's original Vine post of the attempt doesn't seem ABC friendly. Then again, Kimmel recreated an entire Olympic village dorm to pull off his last hoax with snowboarder Kate Hansen.

Even if it's a fake, it kept me entertained for six seconds on a Friday afternoon, and Bean's reaction is pure gold. You've got to love how he watches the whole ridiculous shot transpire in a selfie of sorts.

  • Parents successfully overturn lacrosse player's drug-and-alcohol suspension in court

Well, this story won't do much to dispel the stereotypes of high school lacrosse players.

A federal judge in Oregon granted a temporary restraining order and prelimary injunction requested by the parents of a Wilson High lacrosse player, effectively lifting a suspension levied by Portland Public Schools for the student's alleged violation of its drug and alcohol policy, according to The Oregonian.

The district impeded upon junior Jackson Fletcher's freedom of speech and due process rights in addition to causing irreparable harm to his future scholarship chances, according to the request. For the time being, U.S. District Judge Michael Simon agreed with that sentiment, allowing Fletcher to play.

  • Baby James, 3, executes golf shots and fist pumps like a toddler Tiger Woods

Baby James is pretty sweet when it comes to golf.

Louisiana toddler James Grimes was the subject of a recent WWL-TV feature entitled "3-year-old Abita Springs boy a golf prodigy in the making," and while it's a bit premature to start talking PGA, the kid's got a helluva putting stroke, a silky swing and a fist pump to rival Tiger Woods. He's even got the red shirt.

According to the New Orleans television news station, Baby James started golfing at 18 months old, now belongs to Abita Springs Country Club and is set to play his first tournament in June. At age 3.

"I didn't know it would go this far," his mother Nicole told WWL-TV. "We really thought about doing lessons, and we didn't know if he was too young. Well, as soon as I bought his clubs, I'd tee them up and he'd hit every ball." Spoken like Earl Woods circa 1973.
