This video makes you feel sorry for any quarterback who will be facing Temple next season.
Participating in a big-man relay -- a track tradition also known as a fat-man relay or beef relay between discus throwers and shot putters -- 6-foot-1, 301-pound Owls defensive tackle commit Freddie Booth-Lloyd showed off his closing speed in a Vine that is spreading like wildfire across the internet.
And Booth-Lloyd is reveling in his newfound fame on social media, where he appropriately dubbed himself @Swagga_Athlete. He told his Twitter followers he runs a 4.9 40-yard dash and explained that he ran the second leg of a 4x100-meter relay squad that finished second among five teams at the War Eagle Relays over the weekend. He also submitted the winning shot put toss (48 feet, 8 inches).
On the football field this past fall, the three-star recruit amassed 63 tackles and six sacks, according to MaxPreps. He anchored a defense that allowed just 13.5 points per game, leading the Tigers (11-2) to the Class 4A state semifinals. Perhaps they should have given the big guy a few carries, too.
