The leaderboard at the 2013 Players Championship heading into the third round was absolutely stacked. If it wasn't Lee Westwood or Adam Scott it was the final pairing of Sergio Garcia and Tiger Woods, with a host of other big names chasing close behind.

But it's been a strange week at TPC Sawgrass and that continued when weather stopped play on Saturday with an unfamiliar name atop the leaderboard.

David Lingmerth has one hole left in his third round but the 25-year-old Swede is two shots clear of the field thanks to five birdies and an eagle on Saturday and the leaders struggling to make putts.

So who is this Lingmerth character? Just a youngster who graduated to the PGA Tour last season thanks to some solid play on the Web.com and his year has been defined thus far by a playoff loss at the Humana Challenge thanks to a final round 62 that jumped him up the leaderboard.

Fellow countryman Henrik Stenson chases Lingmerth at 10-under, as does Tiger and Sergio who decided not to complete the 15th hole when the horn blew for darkness in their third round.

It was a weird day for both leaders, who hit some wayward tee shots throughout the day and missed a lot of good birdie putts as they seemed to stand their ground without moving up.

Sunday will be another weather-filled day but hopefully the golf will get in and we will see that same busy leaderboard we saw on Sunday, with a random guy leading if he can take care of the tough 18th hole when play resumes.
