Video: Alvaro Quiros records hole-in-one on par-4 during U.S. Open practice round

SAN FRANCISCO — When you tee it up in the U.S. Open, you know that par is usually your friend. With conditions that usually border on insane, the last thing you're thinking about is making a hole-in-one ... especially on a par-4.

But on Wednesday during his practice round, Alvaro Quiros made the impossible happen, holing out his tee shot on the 288-yard seventh hole at Olympic Club. Considering how tight the opening is to reach the green, we're guessing most guys won't be taking driver off the tee Thursday.

Even if Quiros doesn't win this week, at least he has bragging rights in the hole-in-one department. And that has to be worth something, right?
