ATLANTA - The weather at the Tour Championship has been nothing short of glorious. It's not going to last. A major rainstorm is rolling in Saturday afternoon, right about the time that the leaders would be expected to tee off.
Accordingly, the PGA Tour is moving the tee times up, way way up, to accommodate. The first group will tee off at 7:30 a.m., with the leaders teeing off at 9:00 a.m. Players will go off the first tee in groups of three. The plan is to have everyone done by 1:45.
No word yet on how this will affect TV coverage, but you know what this means: watch the morning's coverage, then find a friend who has no idea he's watching a tape delay and take him for every cent he's worth. You have your mission.
