Tiger Woods paired with Graeme McDowell, Louis Oosthuizen for first two rounds of British Open

It will be a major-heavy, and very popular, opening round pairing for Tiger Woods, who is set to try and win his fourth British Open on Thursday alongside Graeme McDowell and Louis Oosthuizen.

McDowell, a former U.S. Open winner who won two weeks ago at the French Open, finished T-5 last year at Lytham. He is searching for his first Claret Jug, while Oosthuizen will be trying to add a second to his resume (he has no other top-10s besides that win in 2010 at St. Andrews).

The star-studded threesome will go out at 2:45 p.m. local time on Thursday (9:45 a.m. ET), and 9:44 a.m. local time on Friday (4:44 a.m. ET).

Rory McIlroy and Phil Mickelson will be paired together with Hideki Matsuyama, going opposite the Tiger grouping, with a 9:44 a.m. local time tee time on Thursday and 2:45 p.m. local time on Friday.

Defending champion Ernie Els will be paired with Justin Rose and Brandt Snedeker, while the bombers are together again with Bubba Watson, Dustin Johnson and Nicolas Colsaerts getting grouped for both Thursday and Friday.

Some other cool pairings? Nick Faldo, Tom Watson and Fred Couples bring in the oldies-but-goodies group, while Russell Henley, amateur Matthew Fitzpatrick and John Deere champion Jordan Spieth bring in the opposite end of the age spectrum.
