Tiger Jam rocks pleasantly with John Mayer and Keith Urban

After taking a year off because of some transgressions you may have heard a thing or two about, Tiger Woods' celebrity concert/fundraiser, the Tiger Jam, was back on this last weekend. And for those expecting tales of TW debauchery or Led Zeppelin-esque band depravity, sorry ... no luck.

Woods appeared onstage at the Mandalay Bay Events Center wearing a boot for his injured leg. But he spoke for less than 30 seconds before surrendering the stage to Keith Urban and John Mayer.

On the plus side, and in terms of what really matters, the Jam raised about $750,000 for the Tiger Woods Foundation, according to TW's website. Events included a golf clinic (with John Cook subbing for the injured Woods) and a Q&A that was, we hope, more Twitter Tiger and less press-conference Tiger.

"He departed town [Sunday], and there were no reports of wild nights," celebrity gadfly Robin Leach wrote, with what must have been supreme disappointment. "It was a cautious, brief and controlled return to the Las Vegas spotlight."

Be that as it may, Bodog still has Woods as a 6/1 favorite to win the U.S. Open. Perhaps Woods swung by and placed a few bets while in town.
