You can never say there's a bad time for a hole-in-one, but when you're in the hunt at a big golf tournament, like Steve Stricker on Friday at the Memorial, knocking it in on a par-3 is a lot sweeter.
Stricker swung a 6-iron on the par-3 8th from 188 yards, told the ball to be right, and for once, it listened!
It was the second ace of Stricker's career on the PGA Tour, and it came at an incredible time, with the 44-year-old looking for his tenth win of his career. The ace was also the highlight of a front nine at Muirfield that was completed in a svelte 30 shots, and he's now ahead of the field by three shots.
