The moment Tiger Woods announced he'd be returning this week to the Bridgestone Invitational, an event he's won seven times in his incredible career, the buzz from just about every golf fan was who tournament officials would pair Mr. Woods with.
Would they be gutsy enough to toss Tiger with Adam Scott, as Tiger's estranged caddie, Steve Williams, would now be a foe at Firestone? What would the chances be that Tiger, Jim Furyk and Scott were all put together for some sort of caddie smorgasbord?
But sadly for the entertainment purposes, the people at Firestone aren't crazy, and realize just how good it is for them that Tiger loves their golf course and golf tournament, and paired Tiger with one of his good buddies, Darren Clarke, who is coming to the states for the first time since his British Open victory, according to The Golf Channel.

How comfortable will this be for Tiger? Just about as nice as it gets, as Woods and Clarke are so close that just last month Tiger was sending Darren encouraging text messages over the weekend as Clarke was trying to win his first major championship.
Also, we can all hope that funny things like a Woods-Scott pairing would occur, but Tiger is still the biggest draw in the game, and officials try their hardest to keep him as happy as possible, so he continues to return each year and bring patrons and viewers alike.
