Phil Mickelson recommends you watch out when he’s up

Great little story over at Golf Digest from the Atlanta Athletic Club that may or may not be true, but it's fun nonetheless. Seems that during a round, people were touring McIlroot, the root where Rory McIlroy nearly destroyed his career, while play was proceeding. And one individual near the root went and got himself clocked right on the head.

Who could have hit the shot that dinged a loyal gallery member? Well, assuming you didn't read the headline or look at the photo above, here's the big reveal: Phil Mickelson! Phil and caddie Bones walked up, and an apologetic Phil offered up a signed golf glove.

Oh, but there's more: this was apparently the man's first-ever golf tournament, and he gets dinged in the head. Phil, according to the storyteller, smiled and said, "Sir, if this wasn't your first tournament, you would have known to pay more attention when I'm hitting driver." Words to live by.

(And yes, I know that's not a driver in the photo above. Quiet, you.)
