There is no better compliment when your peers congratulate you on a job well done. Fans, reporters and analysts can say just about anything about the way you work, but when the guys that were out on the same golf course are talking about how impressive you played, it really boosts your accomplishment.
That happened on Sunday after Phil Mickelson posted a final round 66 to wrap up his first British Open title. It tied the low round of the week and ended with Mickelson making four birdies over his last six holes.
Here is what a lot of his fellow PGA Tour players said about his round.
66 from Phil today is ridiculous. Best golf I've ever seen. #boss

Phil Mickelson is a class act and his name on the Claret Jug is now golf history! Incredible finish for one of golf's all-time best!

So pumped for Phil right now!! — Rickie Fowler (@RickieFowlerPGA) July 21, 2013
Couldn't be happier for Phil. I know he has been practicing as hard as ever and was really crushed after the US Open. Great to see him win
