Old Videos That Never Get Old: Tiger Woods chip-in at the 2012 Memorial

A year ago at the Memorial a man named Tiger Woods was still coming into his new self. He had won at Bay Hill earlier in the season, his first PGA Tour win since the 2009 BMW Championship, but nobody really felt like he was back until late on Sunday at Jack's event.

Tiger had hit his tee shot on the par-3 16th over the green, into some thick rough that didn't allow for many options. Woods surveyed his situation, stood over his shot and opened the club face basically wide open.

It was one of those flop shots that we were used to seeing in the last '90s, but it seemed that most golfers had abandoned the full swing approach around the greens for something a little more sensible. Woods didn't have much of anything here, but hit one of those golf shots that it seems were tailor-made for Woods.

The ball came out soft, plopped on the green and rolled into the hole for a birdie and one of those fist pumps that really showed that Tiger was back and ready to dominate.

It turned out to be the fifth time Woods had won at Memorial, beating Andres Romero and Rory Sabbatini by two shots thanks to that final round 67.
