Nick Watney made the FedEx Cup interesting with this eagle
Just when it seemed the FedEx Cup was going to be a Jim Furyk-led rout, Nick Watney stepped up on nine and offered up this little gem:
That closed off a remarkable 18 holes, dating back to Saturday afternoon, where Watney scored an unbelievable 58. And it put him within a single shot of Furyk. Had Watney won the Tour Championship, he would have won the FedEx Cup by -- under some scenarios -- just three points over Matt Kuchar. Alas, Watney couldn't sustain, but his Hail Mary play earned him some respect, and should serve him a lot better next year than his PGA Championship collapse last month.
