Hunter Mahan rips yapping fan, loses match

Rough day Friday for Hunter Mahan at the Presidents Cup. One day after he and David Toms had no trouble hammering Y.E. Yang and K.T. Kim 6 and 5, Mahan and Toms struggled to keep pace with Retief Goosen and Charl Schwartzel. Their woes would culminate as Mahan attempted an approach shot only to be distracted by some mouthy Aussies in an adjacent hospitality tent. Nice of Mahan's caddy to offer to climb into the tent and start wielding some iron on his behalf, though.

Mahan and Toms lost 2 and 1, but the U.S. retains a 7-5 lead over the Internationals.
