Greg Owen strips down, dives in to save drowning baby bird at TPC

Greg Owen was working on his game at TPC Sawgrass on Monday ahead of this week's The Players Championship in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

As Owen was walking off the tee at the par-5 16th at the Stadium Course with Brandt Snedeker, he noticed that a bird had fallen out of a tree and into a small water hazard after trying to fly across it. The Blue Jay was struggling and couldn't get out of the water.

So, the 6-foot, 5-inch Owen did what any nature lover would do: He stripped down to his underwear, waded into the water (in which gators could also wade) and rescued the bird.

Owen's instructor, Tony Ziegler, posted the video to Facebook.

Hopefully the universe pays Owen back for his heroism. He missed the cut in his last Players appearance in 2013.
