Graeme McDowell, you're 'some kid' ... and now the champ

No matter what you did for your dad on Father's Day, there's a pretty good chance Graeme McDowell outdid you.

Showing a steadiness that no one else in the field could match, even while giving away stroke after stroke, McDowell hung on to win the U.S. Open by a single stroke over Gregory Havret. And who was there to greet him but his own father, who hugged Graeme and repeated over and over, "You're some kid." Now that's one hell of a fine Father's Day gift, yes?

More to come on McDowell and the rest of the Open. For now, congrats to Northern Ireland's happiest son.
